All of our children have had a great week learning about and participating in Olympic activities during.
Our Key stage two children had the chance to experience Archery and Fencing and our younger children will have the chance to take part in rhythmic gymnastics before the end of term. Sports day went swimmingly (luckily not literally) and we have had a daily aerobics session (well done to those grown-ups who took part!).
Congratulations to Beech house who won the cup! The children have focussed on learning about Olympic traditions of a particular country and shared what they had found out during our closing ceremony on Friday where special Olympic themed awards were handed out for things such as teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Happy 90th birthday Queen Elizabeth!!
It’s been a busy start back to school and we have all hit the ground running, but we were able to slow the pace down a little today as we prepared for and held our school street party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. We were lucky and the weather held out so we could hold the street party outside and welcome families to join us, thank you to those of you who came, it was lovely to see you! The children had fun preparing food or decorations in the morning and gave some wonderful performances as their gifts to the Queen in the afternoon. We closed the afternoon by singing happy birthday to the Queen and singing the national anthem.
Thank you again for your support and we hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!
