Year 3/4 Netball Match at Rickley Park
This wonderful group of children represented Cold Harbour playing netball at Rickley Park in March. A big thank you to Miss Gardner and Miss Randall for accompanying the team.
Year 4 Coding Experience
In February Year 4 children had the exciting opportunity to become coders! They worked virtually alongside Barclay to attend a code a long session where the children learnt how to create a simple and easy to follow project using various programming softwares including Scratch, micro:bit and VEXcodeVR. This session has allowed the children in Year 4 to learn some new coding concepts linked to their Computing Curriculum. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can have the chance to continue their coding journey at home by downloading the free software.
On Wednesday 16th December, Flamingo, Macaw and Hummingbird class all made individual Christingles and took part in their own Christingle services. It was wonderful to see their proud faces as they held their candles and were reminded that ‘Jesus is the light of the world.’
Tropical Birds Roman Day
This term Year 3 and 4 have been studying ‘The Roman Empire and its impact on Britain.’ To consolidate their understanding the children took part in a wonderful ‘Roman’ day – dressing up as Roman centurions and ladies from the Cornelia. The children had a wonderful day making shields, learning about Roman numerals, designing pizza toppings and even taking part in the famous combat formation with their shields. It was a wonderful day!
